Geraldine Lockwood Obituary
This is to let friends and family know of Mom's quiet passing to her true heavenly home on March 22, 2016. She never was able to regain speech or use of her right side after her stroke last October as we had hoped. She (Mom, Jeri, Grandma Joy) was and always will be so loved. She cared deeply for each of you, always looking forward to those Christmas cards and notes about your lives. Geraldine "Jeri" Schulz was born in Dalton, Wisconsin on October 16, 1917. The family moved to Huntington Park, California by Hupmobile when she was four. In 2006 she moved to Estes to be close to family. Jeri was a housewife, Sunday school teacher, an Awana leader, and an elementary school teacher. She was an incredible lady, still on her exercise bike for 20 minutes three times a day until her stroke at the age of 98. Jeri was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years Roy Lockwood, daughter in-law Lynda Lockwood, sister Bea, and brother Richard. She is survived by her son John Lockwood and daughter Ann Griffith both of Estes, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, 2 pm at Rocky Mountain Church, 451 Promontory Dr., Estes Park. In lieu of flowers or donations, she would wish you to hug and love your family, for the days to do so are precious and that number is known only to our lord. Lovingly yours; John Lockwood, Ann Griffith, the Lockwood and Hammond Families.
