Robert Francis "Bob" Jurgens Obituary
Robert (Bob) Francis Jurgens, 87, died May 29, 2014 at his home in Estes Park, Colorado.  He was born August 20, 1926 on a farm near Moorefield, Nebraska to Chris and Eloise (Wasley) Jurgens.
Bob graduated high school from the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska.  He attended Barnes School of Commerce in Denver, Colorado. He later worked in North Platte and Ogallala as a bookkeeper. His love for the mountains lured him back to Colorado in 1956. He married the love of his life, Lois Lucile (Nickols) Jurgens in 1957.  Bob realized another dream when he and Lois purchased their first motel in 1967 in Longmont.  Through five years of hard work, they realized another dream by purchasing a motel in Estes Park, currently known as Comfort Inn.    Through the years, the business became very successful and is now operated by two of his three children and his grandson.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lois, his children, Denise (Kevin Messerschmidt) (Carbondale), Rhonda (Estes Park), Gregg (Suzanne) (Estes Park), his grandson, Sean (Emily) (Loveland), his step granddaughters Makenzie (Westminster, Colorado), Lauren (Estes Park) and Kate Hewson (Estes Park), and his great granddaughter, Nora Jurgens (Loveland), his sister, Beverly(Denzil) Clegg (Denton, Texas) , and his sister-in law, Ruth Jurgens (Curtis, Nebraska) and many nieces and nephews.  He was loved by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Eloise, his brothers, Dick and Jerry, and his sister, Elizabeth.
A private service will be held at a later date.
