Frank Italiani Obituary
He was born on September 26, 1935, in Erie, a son of the late Augustine and Mary (Perfetto) Italiani.
He retired from General Electric in Erie following 32 years of working as a dispatcher there.
Frank was involved with the Catholic Church. Prior to moving to Lake City in 1996, he was a member and usher at St. Marks Catholic Church in Lawrence Park and later joined St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard, where he was active as an usher there, until he became ill.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, kids, grandkids and his two dogs, Sandy and Charlie, that loved him dearly. During his life he enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and watching football. He was a lifetime Cleveland Browns fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Angelo and Anthony Italiani; and three sisters, Angeline Tullio, JoAnn Perseo, and Louise Galetta.
Frank will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife, Betty Lou (Smulik) Italiani, whom he married, August 23, 1957 in Erie; also by a son, Frank A. Italiani (Dawn Keith) of Erie; three daughters, Susie Way (Don) of Lake City, Karen Italiani of Lake City, MaryAnn Italiani (Keith Kuhn) of Ripley, N.Y.; a brother, Augustine Italiani (Patty) of Erie; a sister, Mary Lombardo of Erie; six grandchildren, Christina Lingenfelter, Kevin Lingenfelter, Joe Italiani, Tim Italiani, Matthew Way, Kyle Wilkinson; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Prayer Service will be held there on Friday at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard, with Rev. William Miller officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Entombment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

I truly miss this renaissance man, legend and one loyal very rare neighbor... Frank was the classic of sound inspiration and always set his vision towards Above regardless.. We people could benefit from human beings such as my always in memory and dear heart caring neighbor Mr Frank Italiani. That's called family! We miss you good buddy! You're still here in the area talking to your two little dogs Charlene and Sandy. It's like Champagne... lol! no one made meat loaf or home cooked food as he did or drove all the way across town to shop for food bargains as Frank.

Frank is one outstanding rare and very uncommon person neighbor and loyal reliable friend. We all could learn more about life from the way he lived and shared to many including myself his good neighbor. He's at peace!
