Felix Federowicz Obituary


Felix Federowicz, Jr., age 86, passed away Sunday morning, December 29, 2013, in Bluffton, S.C. He resided in Erie, Pa. He was born in Erie January 3, 1927, son of the late Felix and Mary Ann Dlugos Federowicz.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Miller and her husband Earl of Bluffton, S.C., Betty Jo Comi and her husband Tom of Fairview, Pa,; two sons, Michael Federowicz and his wife Christine of Millcreek Twp. and William Federowicz and his wife Katherine of Erie; a brother, Edmund Federowicz and his wife Charlotte of Harborcreek Twp.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Felix was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Krahnke Federowicz, who passed away in August 2013; and two brothers, Walter and Clemens Federowicz.

Felix was a lifetime member of St. Casimir Church, where her served as a Senior Acoulite and Eucharistic Minister. He retired from Loblaws Grocery Store in 1989 after 35 years service, where he worked as a meat cutter. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. Felix enjoyed woodworking, craft shows and golfing. He was a Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan.

Friends may call at the Mark G. Razanauskas Funeral Home, 701 East Avenue, Erie, Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be conducted Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Casimir Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 1507 Grimm Dr., Erie, PA 16501.
