Donald E. Bretschneider

Donald E. Bretschneider, passed away Sunday, March 24th, at the age of 80 surrounded by members of his family. Don served his country throughout the Korean War, and worked for many years at AMSCO before his retirement. He was one of the founding members of the Blue Dolphins Diving Team and remained an avid boater throughout his life, spending much of his time with family and friends while sharing laughs over stories and a few beers. For years he meticulously stocked and maintained his many beautiful aquariums in his game room, which was adorned with memorabilia of his beloved Cleveland Browns. Don will best be remembered for his outgoing personality and great generosity towards others. He was always ready to lend a hand or talk things over with anyone. Don was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Elly and his loving wife Helen. Besides his loyal companion Buddy, he leaves behind a son Don, a daughter Janie Froehlich and son-in-law Jim, two grandsons, Nick and Tim, two granddaughters Sandra and Leah and many great-grandchildren. A private service will be held at the family's discretion with inurnment in Erie County Memorial Gardens. The Francis V.
