Ella Reshko, 87, of Erie, formerly of Bellevue joined her heavenly family on Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born in Plum Borough, Pa. on November 10, 1925 to the late John & Sophie Shanter. Her husband Carl Reshko of 39 years preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Dennis Albaugh Sr.) Geraci of Mineral City, Ohio and Betty (Pat) Flaherty of Erie, Pa.; granddaughters, Carla (Jeremy) Kenney of Columbus, Ohio and Michelle Flaherty of Erie, Pa. and great-grandson, Hudson Kenney. Her surviving sisters are: Josephine (Puks) Nellis, Turtle Creek, Pa. and Anna Mae Anderson, Holiday Park, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many loyal friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Elsie Stasko, Rudy Shanter, Mary Mikolaczyk, Elizabeth Arno, John Shanter, Joseph Shanter and Theresa Hribal. Ella was a unique and wonderful woman who touched and influenced many lives. She had many numerous affiliations, was committed to community service and politics and was devoted to her family and friends. Ella was employed 21 years at Northgate School District, President of the Northgate Educational Support Personnel Association for ten years, PTA President Grant School, Girl Scout Leader, member of Bellevue Republican Committee, Bellevue Council Woman four years, Bellevue Zoning and Hearing Board, Past President of North Borough's Women Republican Party, Allegheny County Republican Women's Council, Kiwanis and Quaker Valley County Council of Government, Trustee for John A. Hermann Art Museum for ten years, Past Matron of Bellevue OES Chapter #85, member Emanuel Lutheran Church since 1955, she Initiated and Chaired the Bellevue Community Fest Celebration for five years and was Bellevue Citizen of the year in 1989. Friends received Sunday 1p.m. to 8p.m. at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon 412-766-5600 where a funeral service will be held 11am Monday.
