Fred P. "Pete" Giglio

Fred "Pete" P. Giglio, 66, of Millcreek Township, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at his residence, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 16, 1946 in Schenectady, N.Y., son of the late John and Helen Giglio. He servied in the U.S. Army for 30 years and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He worked as a Monitor with the Department of Corrections Community Correction Center. He also worked part time at LECOM. He was a member of the 3rd Street Polish Falcons Club and the Erie Bowling Hall of Fame. He also coached football for Strong Vincent High School. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Victoria Metzler Giglio, and a nephew, Warren Avery, Jr. Survivors include his wife of seven years, Bonita "Bonnie" Jones Giglio, his children, Ronald Kelly (Laura) of Orlando, Fla., Juliet Giglio-Dombrowski (Fred) of Conneaut Lake, Pa., Stephen Kelly, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Joseph Giglio (Melissa) and Meghan Giglio, both of Erie, a brother, Gerald Giglio (fiancé Pirscilla Pare) of Schenectady, N.Y., two sisters, Betty Avery (Warren) of Schenectady, N.Y. and Mary Rorick of Pattersonville, N.Y. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services, with Full Military Honors, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. The Edward J.
