Hazel Fay Cardozo Stephens Andrejewski

Hazel Fay Cardozo Stephens Andrejewski, age 83, of Erie, went home to her Savior on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 9:34 a.m, the gates of heaven opened and her angels took her into their care. Born in Jamaica, West Indies on April 21, 1929, daughter of the late Vincent O. and Beatrice Louise Dadd Cardozo, she came to the U.S. in 1962. She leaves behind sons Vincent Dumont, Andy Andrzejewski and daughter Cathyann Andrejewski Landers and Jason Delp; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Christopher and Carleigh; sisters Marguerite Elise Eldermire; several nephews including Clinton Tyrone Cardozo and Julie, Howard Cardozo and Grace, David Eldermire; nieces, Janet McKoy and Donna; her former husband George and Gloria Stephens and countless loved ones she blessed over her 83 years. Hazel was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, consistently praying for those she touched. She was a kind hearted and jovial soul, full of humor and silliness. Even in her final days, she was a beacon of hope and comfort to those who loved her. Now in heaven, she can walk alongside her loved ones, singing and dancing as she now celebrates her new eternal life. Hazel enjoyed music, cooking, gardening and helping those in need. She was active member of FlightPath Fellowship. She is preceded in death by one sister, Mavis Louise Cardozo Decosta, a brother, Vincent Hayenunes Cardozo and her second husband, Stan Andrzejewski. Friends may attend the wake at FlightPath Fellowship, 4749 McMillen Drive Erie, PA 16505 on Saturday, November 10, at 11 a.m. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38 St., handled arrangements.
