Helen Ann Zenewicz Mosakowski

Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother. Helen Ann Zenewicz Mosakowski, age 88 passed away peacefully Sunday April 7, 2013 at Independence Court of Erie. She was born in Erie on January 26, 1925 daughter of the late Alexander and Josephine Gasiewska Zenewicz. Helen was a 1943 graduate of East High School. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, meeting friends for lunch or dinner, sewing, crocheting, spending time with her family and visiting her sister in Florida. She was a member of St. Luke Church and the Funtastics Card Club for many years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Joseph J. Mosakowski, sisters, Ann Kaus and Peggy Ahrens and brother Peter Zenewicz. She is survived by her very devoted friend, Robert Dorau, five children, JoAnn Roschy and husband Richard, Joseph R. Mosakowski, Jane E. Mosakowski, Jeffrey M. Mosakowski and wife Louise and Julie B. Mosakowski, one sister Virginia Vento, four grandchildren, Laure Utecht and husband Matthew, John M. Needham (Jonna Laird), Andrea L. Kramer (Michael Talley), Joshua H. Mosakowski, and Amanda J. Mosakowski, two step-grandchildren, Amy Roschy, and Jason Roschy, seven great-grandchildren, Margaret Utecht, Matthew Utecht, Samuel Utecht, Marcus Needham, Connor Needham , Jennifer Pursell, and Robert Pursell III, two great-great grandchildren, Jenasia and Jahvari Holmes, sister in law Dolores Mosakowski and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. 2101 Ash St. Wednesday 2 p.m. to the time of services there at 4 p.m. Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke Church or Asera Care Hospice.
