Jane E. Izbicki Kay

Jane E. Izbicki Kay, 84 of Erie passed away to be with Jesus Sunday January 6, 2013 at Twinbrook Medical Center. She was born in Erie June 8, 1928 daughter of the late John and Mary Sabatis Izbicki. Jane loved her family and friends and always brought a smile to everyone. She enjoyed collecting dolls, stuffed animals and toys, and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of and loved the following clubs, PNA Club where she served as an officer, Pulaski Club, Society of Holy Trinity, Polish Falcon's Nest 123, VFW Post 3390, American Legion 771, Star Club, Huzar Club, Fulton Club, Slovak Club, Polish Sharpshooter's Club, Moniuszko Club, Siebenbuerger Club, Knights of St. George, Knights of St. John, CYS Club and South Erie Turners. She was preceded in death by her husband Aloisious "Al" Kay, sisters Ann Wisniewski, Eleanor Krucowski, and Helen Bartosek and brothers Tony and Alex Izbicki. Survivors include her daughter Darlene Brock, sons Danny Kay and wife Jean, Dennis Kay, and Douglas Kay and wife Anne, grandchildren, Darren, Alan, Danny Jr., Clara, Lilly, Rosie, and her great grandson John, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her favorite feline Cato. Special thank you to the Staff at UPMC Hamot and Twinbrook Medical Center for the tender loving care they gave our beloved mother. Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Ash St. Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
