Jiuliana J. Filippo Jozefowicz

Jiuliana J. Filippo Jozefowicz, age 86, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Home of Erie. She was born on September 2, 1926 in Mestre (Venice), Italy, daughter of the late Sebastiano and Marie MiniottoBortolus. Jiuliana immigrated to the United States in 1948. She was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church. She had been employed as a clerk at Balken Bakery for nine years and had also been previously employed by the Holiday Inn prior to retirement. She was an avid bingo player for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zygmunt Jozefowicz; five sisters and three brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Madeline Filippo and her partner, Marsha Miller of Erie; three step-daughters, Alice Kendziora and her husband Ken and Linda Morgan and her husband Geoff all of Erie and Janice Staples and her husband Frank of New Palestine, Ind.; one step-son, James Jozefowicz and his wife Donna of Aurora, Ill.; one sister, Nucia Grandesso and her husband Gino of Mestre, Italy; eight grandchildren, Thomas Kendziora, Kimberly Palmer, Kelly Leonard,Brian Staples, Heather Curtis, Geoffrey Morgan, Jill and Lindsey Jozefowicz; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the tender and loving care that Jiuliana received from the staff on the Third Floor/Neighborhood "D" at St. Mary's Home of Erie.
