Marie Theresa Behr

Marie Theresa Behr, 63, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., due to complications from cancer surgery. Born in Erie on May 22, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Louis M. and Mary E. (Orton) Behr, Sr. She worked for Blair Corporation and had previously worked for West Corporation, Value City Furniture and Furniture Lane. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Louis M. "Butch" Behr, a sister, Mary Lou (Behr) Leopold, both in 2007, and a brother-in-law, Jon A. Stafford, Sr., in 1984. Survivors include three daughters, Bridgette M. (Christopher) Wagner, Laurie L. (Armand) Rocco, and Nicole C. (Christian) Clark, all of Erie; two sisters, Janice A. Stafford, of Erie, and Deborah J. Reynolds, of Florida; a brother, Edward F. (Diane Kuczynski) Behr, of Erie; and two aunts, Sr. Donna Marie Orton, R.S.M., and Theresa (John) Simon, both of Erie. She is further survived by six grandchildren, Edward R. Bootes, Alexis R. Nyari, Nicholas A. and Maria K. Rocco, and Jaden L. and Julian L. Clark; and a great-granddaughter, Adrianna L. Rivera. Marie enjoyed bowling, Stephen King novels, and horror movies. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend services Monday at 9:15 a.m. , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint John the Baptist Church at 10 o'clock .
