Marilyn A. Wingerter Laughlin

Marilyn A. Wingerter Laughlin, 80, of Lake City, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 18, 1932 in Erie, a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Helen Lyons Wingerter. Marilyn graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1950. She worked in her younger years at Zuck's Turkey Farm, Platz's Market and Brown Brothers, in Girard. She began her own antiquing and furniture restoration business in 1978. She, along with her husband Jim, owned and operated JMD Mfg., in Lake City, for many years, making and marketing grape carts and lawn ornaments. She attended church at various locations, including in Wildwood, Fla., where she and her husband wintered since 1998. She enjoyed garage sales, thrift shops, antiquing and enjoyed the many years she spent with her high school card club, Florida friends and Shrine friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James T. "Jim-Jim" Laughlin, in 2003, also by a sister, Helen Marie Wingerter Head and a brother William "Bill" Wingerter. She will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her husband, James F. Laughlin, whom she married August 21, 1954 in Erie; two daughters, Debra A. Faulkner (Gary) of Girard, Donna L. Komisarski (Michael) of Lake City; grandchildren T.J. Faulkner of Girard and Kate Faulkner of Boston, Mass.; a niece, Marcia Mikovich (Gary) and a step-great-grandson, Noah Panic. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Thursday, at 10 a.m., with Rev.
