Mary I. Short

Frewsburg, N.Y. Mary I. Short, 79, of 9 Duff St., died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, in Florida. She was born November 29,1933 in Kearsarge, the daughter of Howard and Irene Curtis Thomas. Along with her husband, she was founder and owner of Jamestown Industrial Trucks, in Frewsburg. Mary was a member of the Busti Church of God. She was very faithful each day, remembering her family, friends, and acquaintances through her lengthy prayers. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Mary is survived by her husband Earl "Bud" Short, whom she married in 1952, three daughters, Laura Jean Silvis, and Joyce (Daniel) Schwob of Frewsburg and Julie (Scott) Sadowski of Kennedy; a son, John (Wendy) Short of Frewsburg; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Abbey Rose Sadowski, two brothers, and one sister. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Busti Church of God. The Rev. Roy Ferguson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in the Peterson Funeral Home, 12 N.
