June 20, 1922 - December 28, 2012 MaryJane Zales, 90, was born on June 20, 1922 in Johnstown, Pa. She moved to Erie, Pa. at a very young age. She graduated from Lawrence Park High School in 1941. After spending a few years as a beautician at the old Boston Store, she left that employment to work at the General Electric Company where she had 38 years service upon her retirement in 1984. She spent five years as "Jonesy the Clown," entertaining children with the Erie Clown Organization. In 2004, MaryJane moved to Las Vegas where she lived out her final days crocheting baby blankets which she donated to needy children through the UMC Family Resource Center. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Henry Zales and Leo Marzka, along with a son Daniel Lawson. She is survived by five children, Richard Zales (San Diego), Pamela Schneider (Las Vegas), Rebecca Lander (Erie), Gregory Zales (Colorado Springs), and Cassandra Morishita (Las Vegas), 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Burial services were privately held by the family.
