Nancy J. Gailey Rankin, 49, died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her residence, in Erie. She was born February 12, 1963, in Erie, daughter of the late Edward Gailey and the late Ruth Geist Gailey Fickenworth. She attended Tech Memorial High School, loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed playing bingo, going to the the casino, and camping. Survivors include her husband of thirty years, David Rankin; two daughters, Stephani Lewis of Warren, Pa. and Tina Rankin of Erie; a brother, Lynn Gailey and wife Debbie of Erie; two sisters, Cheryl Gailey and Debra Gailey Eller and husband David, all of Erie; six grandchildren, Jacob and Brianna Lewis, Damian Szalabawaka and Bobby Szalabawaka, Jr., Page Rankin and Maxwell Deckert; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Raymond and Glenn Gailey, preceded her in death. Friends may call Monday, from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m., at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St. Pastor Sonny Concepcion will officiate. Private burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be designated to the family, through the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Erie, PA 16502.
