Neal A. Hunter, of Ripley, N.Y., died at his home on November 5, 2013. He was born in Erie, Pa. on November 14, 1950 to the late William P. and Eileen (McKinney) Hunter.
He was educated in the Belleview, Ohio School System and was also a Vietnam War
Veteran, who served from 1969-1970. Neal was a truck driver for Port Erie Plastics in Harborcreek, Pa. until he became ill.
He is survived by his loving significant other, Audry Caulder, a brother, Patrick A. (Christina) Hunter of Cambridge Springs, Pa. and a sister, Cathy (Joseph) Burwell of Erie, Pa. Neal is further survived by his children, Tammy (Sean) Russell of Lexington, Ohio and James (Sandi) Hunter of Fostoria, Ohio, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.
Besides his parents, Neal was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael J. and William M. Hunter.
A memorial service for Neal will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 West Main St., Ripley, N.Y., with the Reverend Donald Eggleston officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service and may call at the Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the 7:00 p.m. service.
