Richard F. Rajewski, age 61, of Edinboro, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on November 19, 1952, son of the late Walter F. and Dolores M. (Zuzga) Rajewski.
Richard attended St. Stanislaus School and graduated from Academy High School in 1970. He received certification in Radiologic Technology from Gannon University / Hamot. Richard had worked at Hamot, Orthopedic Associates, National Forge / Erie Forge and Steel, and as an x-ray technician for Diagnostic X-ray Services.
He was a member of the Edinboro-McKean VFW
Post 740 and the Siebenbuerger Club. Richard enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and working on cars. He was a big sports fan and cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Celtics. He always had a quick wit and a desire to make people laugh, so he fulfilled an item on his "bucket list" when he got to MC twice at Jr.'s Last Laugh, last year.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Robin L. (Gleichsner) Rajewski, of Edinboro; a son Shaun Rajewski, of Erie; a daughter, Shannon Rajewski, of Erie; a brother Gerald Rajewski (Louise), of Erie; a beloved granddaughter Hailey Smith, of Erie and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd. Services will be private for immediate family and friends. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
