William Kurelowech

William Kurelowech, 93, of E. Main St., Corry, Pa., died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Corry Memorial Hospital.

He was born on June 3, 1920, in Lewisville, W.Va., a son of the late John and Pearl Reyda Kurelowech, Sr.

As a young boy he and his family moved to Corry. He attended school in the Carter Hill area and then served in the U. S. Army during WWII. Bill served in Tunisia, Sicily, Rhineland, Rome, Arno, Southern France and Central Europe. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Corry and worked at Western Auto in Corry and then operated a radio and TV repair service for many years. He last worked at Thompson Maple Products.

He was know as a "Mr. Fix-It" and enjoyed working with his hands.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death on April 25, 1977 by his wife, Julia Zepka Kurelowech, whom he married on June 20, 1960 in Corry, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Savko and Christine Saber; and two brothers, John and Mike Kurelowech.

Bill is survived by a sister, Amelia Gluvna and her husband, Albert of Kittanning, Pa.; a brother, George Kurelowech of Erie, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 11 a.m. Rev. Mark Hoffman will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
