Rona Jean Reisinger Freitas

Rona Jean Reisinger Freitas Rona (aka Roto-Rooter) Freitas, age 66, of 1936 Ottawa Drive, Erie died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West . Born in Meadville, Pa. on November 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Annabelle White Reisinger. She was a 1960 graduate of Strong Vincent High School. Rona was in Avon sales for 27 years. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She was life and auxiliary members of VFW Post 470 and Cascade Park Club, past Treasurer, Director and auxiliary member of the Polish Sharpshooters Club and Ladies Auxiliary member of the Siebenbuerger Club and American Legion Post 771. Also a member of the following clubs: Pulaski, Society of Holy Trinity, Moniuszko, Huzar, Forester’s Beneficial Assn., South Erie Turner, PNA and St Mary’s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Meinhart, her second husband Joseph Freitas and a nephew Stephen Reisinger. She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Meinhart; a son, Jerry Meinhart; a stepdaughter Linda Jo Freitas, all of Erie; two brothers, Robert White of Oliveburg, Pa., and Edwin Reisinger and his wife Simone of Apple Valley, Calif.; three step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. with Rev Harry Johns III officiating.
