Nancy K. Olenski

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother Nancy K. Olenski, 80, of Fairview, died Friday, December 10, 2010, at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge, following an extended illness. Born in New Haven, Conn. on March 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary O'Leary Preiss. Nancy graduated from Milford High School in Connecticut, met and later married her husband of 58 years, John Olenski. For many years she was a stay-at-home mom and then was a secretary at Villa Maria College and Gannon University. Nancy spent much of her time working in her flower garden and she also enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. Above all, Nancy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her husband, John, two daughters: Doreen Johnson and her husband Steve of Northboro, MA, and Pamela Holmes of Fairview; three sons: John Paul and his fiancé Marion Lewis of Gloucester Point, Va., Matthew and his wife, Beth, of Portland, Ore., and Christopher and his wife, Beth, of Winchester, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Gregory and Lindsey Johnson of Northboro, Mass., Bethany, Christopher and Emily Holmes of Fairview, Henry and Audrey Olenski of Portland, Ore., and Ashley, Haley and Cassie Olenski of Winchester, Va.; and also several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St., East, in Girard on Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7100 W.
