Dear Aunt Loretta, Dan, Elaine, Sally, & the rest of the family.
It is so heart wrenching to lose your dad. Uncle Leo was a very caring & compassionate man, & I loved him very much. He will be sadly missed by so many. I always loved to come to your home when I was little - seems like forever ago. May God bless you all. Love you.

Papa was the best grandfather, great-grandfather, father, uncle, and husband in the world. His family meant the world to him. He not only opened his home to everyone but also his heart. He was truly an incredible man with incredible stories. I hope to be at least half the person he was. As one of his grandchildren, I'm so forever grateful to have had him in my life. Never will I forget the many memories I've shared with him - my first day of kindergarten on the way home from school I fell asleep on the bus, Papa came for me and I ran into to his arms - the years of fishing on Edinboro Lake with him - him watching me swim in the pond - Papa was the first to let my drive the lawn mower (before I would fell asleep on his lap) :) - on Bowling Nights taking me to McDonalds and we would drive around the Peninsula, singing "Yellow Rose of Texas" , Oh Papa, remember when we hit the skunk! – seeing him every morning before and after school - Just so many memories I could write a book. This man will mean the world to me for the rest of my life because of the impression he left on me. Papa, I love you, I adore you, and I miss you so much. What I would do for one more minute to be with you. I know you're watching over me and you're my guardian angel. Keep soaring those skies Papa; I'll be looking for you. I'm going to work so hard to make you proud and get my pilot's license for you. I'll see you in the clouds Papa. I love you unconditionally.

I can't even begin to list the many attributes that made Uncle Leo a great man.But number 1 on the list was his love, respect, pride he had for his family. His influence and strong moral character helped shape, not only his children into the amazing adults they are today, but many others, including me. He was loved by many and will be missed. Thank you, Uncle Leo, for all the beautiful memories. Till we meet again at the big pinochle game above. I love you.
