Jacob Pushinsky Obituary
A Loving Son and Brother
Jacob A. Pushinsky, 18, a resident of east Erie, died as a result of an attempted robbery, on Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2015, at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Erie, on March 13, 1997, son of Mark and Lisa Fouch Pushinsky.
He lived in Erie all of his life. He was a senior at East High School, where he was a member of the Army Jr. ROTC.
Beside his parents, Jacob is survived by one sister, Kalie Abshire and her husband Johnny; two brothers, Charles Archer and Zachary Pushinsky, all from Erie; his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Ruth Pushinsky of Millcreek; and his maternal grandmother, Sylvia Leonard of Erie. Jacob is also survived by two nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jacob was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Archer; and his maternal grandfather, Bob Fouch.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4 until time of service at 6 p.m., at Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc., 459 East 12th Street.
Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.

I would like to give my condolences to a family who raised an outstanding young man of quiet conviction. I met Jacob as an attendee of an after school program and he was a welcome addition, always.
No news in memory has been so heartbreaking hear.

I drove by the location where the horrific incident happened. I immediately had to pull over as I was filled with emotion and teared up. I have 3 children. One almost 13. I could not imagine the grief you are all experiencing. The entire community is thinking of you in this terrible time. My prayers are with you all. For Jacob's mother.....for a mother to lose 2 children at such young ages....from a mother to a mother...I pray for you especially. It was very strong of you to come on T.V. and speak words to the community in your own time of pain. Hopefully, our youth will learn from this tragic incident. My heart aches for you.
