Sarah Ann Schaaf

Sarah Ann Schaaf, age 28, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

She was born on September 13, 1988, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Thomas Schaaf and Susan Oberley-Gryta.

Sarah graduated from Meadville High School and later attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She was of the Roman Catholic faith and had attended St. Brigid's Catholic Church. Sarah loved her daughter Amiah Korrine Hamilton and took care of her every need.

Sarah is survived by her father Thomas Schaaf and his wife Jeanette of Erie, Pa., her mother Susan Oberly-Gryta and her husband Jeffrey Gryta of Meadville, Pa., one daughter Amiah Korrine Hamilton, a sister Jennifer Panko and her husband Timothy, and their son Eastlen of Meadville, Pa., a brother Adam Richard Schaaf of Meadville, Pa., an uncle Anthony Oberley and his wife Marianne of Nebraska, an aunt Marianne Oberley of Springboro, Pa., an uncle and her Godparents Bill Schaaf and his wife Beth of Waterford, Pa., an aunt Carol Schaaf Hirsch and her husband Mike of Erie, Pa., and a stepsister Kimberly Linse and her husband Matt and their two children Grady and Riley of Waterford, Pa. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sarah was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Richard Schaaf and Eileen Schaaf, her maternal grandparents Marianne Oberley and Joseph Oberley.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 1 until 4 p.m. at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 4:30 p.m. at St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch Street, Meadville, PA 16335, with Father Thomas Trocchio officiating. Interment will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Erie, Pa., on Monday, January, 9, 2017.
