Amanda Marie Watkins, age 27, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on May 28, 1985, the daughter of James Andrews and Rose Watkins of Erie, and stepdaughter of Diane Andrews, of Erie. Amanda was a graduate of Silver Creek High School, Silver Creek, N.Y., Class of 2004. She was employed as a cook manager at a local golf course. Amanda had previously worked as a home health aide and as a mechanic, at her father's garage. She enjoyed art, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. As a youth, Amanda had learned karate from the Blanks family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Alice J. Long of East Springfield; 14 brothers and sisters; four nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary and Louis Watkins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., West, 536 West 10th Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8 p.m. Private interment will take place at Erie Cemetery.
