Anne Marie Seus Cage Obituary
Anne Marie Seus Cage, 90, of Erie, died Thursday morning January 10, 2013 at St. Mary's Home East. A lifelong resident of the Erie area she was born in Erie on July 16, 1922 a daughter of the late August and Mary Ann Ebach Seus. Anne was a 1939 graduate of St. Benedict Academy. She worked in the office of Drs. Schlindwein, Delaney and Cardot, ear nose and throat specialists. She married William Cage on December 8, 1944 at St. John the Baptist rectory. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the St. Vincent Auxiliary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William F. Cage; one grandson, Randy Cage; and two brothers, Robert and Ray Seus. Survivors include two sons, Gary Cage and his wife Evelyn of Greene Twp. and Ronald Cage and his wife Kathy of Summit Twp; two daughters, Judy Bandecca and her husband Dennis of Harbrocreek and Mary Beth Voelker and her husband Joe of Burlington, Conn.; ten grandchildren, Ann Marie Angerer and her husband Matt, Darrell Cage, David Cage and his wife Bethany, Luke Cage, Bernie Cage, Connie Nelson and her husband Marc, Kelly Veith and her husband Fred, Jimmy Cage, Joe Voelker Jr., and Erica Voelker; four great-grandchildren, Brody and Bryce Nelson and Gavin and Hudson Cage; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Additional calling hours will be held at St. Mary's Home East Chapel on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial there at 10:30 a.m.. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the many friends at St. Mary's Home East who showed their love for Anne.
