Bruce G. Moorhead, age 70, of Erie, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie on June 4, 1942, son of the late C. Gordon and Betsy Moorhead. Bruce was a firefighter with the Erie Fire Department from 1976 until his retirement. Recently he had worked for the Auto Auction in Fairview. Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Belle Valley Presbyterian Church, the American Legion in Girard and was a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club. He was known for having a very generous and giving heart. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jeanne Moorhead; three daughters, Tammy Freehling (Les), Susan Fabrey (Bob) and Deborah Skogman (Mike); one brother, Gerald Moorhead (Rose); one sister, Janet Crosby (James); eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Alec Moorhead. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., West, 536 West 10th Street on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. David Edmunds. Private interment at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
