Bryon Glover Obituary

Bryon Edward Glover Bryon Edward Glover was born on December 6, 1959, son of the late Charles H. and Emma Malone Glover. He was a life-long resident of Erie. He was an alumnus of St. George Catholic School and Tech Memorial High School and was employed by Welka Disposal. Bryon died peacefully at home early Sunday morning. He was most known for his genuine love of life, friends, and family. He was always the 'life of the party'. His uplifting spirit is irreplaceable and will be deeply missed. He was an excellent pool player and participated in local tournaments. His love of people will live on. He will give someone the gift of sight with his cornea donation, and also aid burn victims with his skin donation. Bryon is survived by the “love of his life” Darlene S. Carson; a sister Cynthia Timmons, of Lincoln, Calif.; brothers Roy 'Skip' Glover, from Greenville, Pa., and Charles 'Skip' Glover, of Erie, Pa. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Elaine Simon, and a brother, Dennis 'Butch' Glover. There will be a private family service and burial at Bear Lake Cemetery, Bear Lake, Pa,, on Saturday September 19th. All donations may be made to any animal charity. Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th at Greengarden Blvd is undertaking arrangements. Condolences at: www.bruggerfuneralhomes.com Sign the guestbook at www.GoErie.com/obits

Darlene,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Bryon was pretty special to Patrick & myself - we worked together at OEM. Bryon was very entertaining and will be sadly missed. We were also on his route on Wednesdays with Welka and Patrick would get to talk to him. You are in our prayers - it was a real shocker.

The loss of Bryon has left an empty place at The Gold Crown Billiards that will never be filled. Bryon was there since the first days of our business (before he was even old enough to be there!) Bryon was kind and good and "smiley". We are shocked and unspeakably sad that he has left us. He was a good pool player and a good friend. He will always be missed and never forgotten in the "pool room".

My name is Bill Pietrzak. I knew Bryan and Skip from the old neighborhood of Longacre. I lived on Hillcrest and Grandview. All the gang from Grandview, Basin and Colvert circle hung around together. Sometimes Bryon would be in our gang. I remenber him as a tuff little kid who was tuff playing ball and could hold his own with the older kids. When my Wife and I had our son, we needed to find a strong name and I thought of Bryon. Now I have a 29 year old son named Bryan, and he has carried the name well. I did not know Bryons' spelling until reading the obit, so I was off a "o". Anyways, Skip, if you remember me, please accept my condolences to you and your family. My son always knew that he was named after a tuff little guy from my old neighborhood. Sadly, I had to show him the obit and mentioned again the story behind his name and that tuff little guy from the old neighborhood long ago.

Growing up with bryon was the best childhood a guy could have - all of my teen memories included him right by my side - he was one in a million.

Skip,
I can still see that annoying little boy who always wanted to play with us so many years ago. My heart goes out to you and all of your family at Bryon's passing. He's playing pool with the "Greats" now. God never gives us more than we can handle.

Bryon was the best uncle a girl could have ever had. I will miss him so much. I so glad that i spent the last hours that he was alive with me. He said he had the best time ever. One thing that i'm really sad about that he will never see me and James get married and see us have children. One lesson i have learned from bryon live life, enjoy it and have of fun. Live is to short.

Darlene I am so sorry for your loss. I was shocked when I saw Bryon passed away. I was an old friend of his from high school and his parents old neighborhood. I had just ran into him after 20 years or so at Gold Crown Billards about a year ago. We had a lot of great times together growing up. Sincerely Steve Yochim

To Darlene & All of Bryon's family...
I worked with Bryon, for a short period of time, and just as many times as I said "whatta guy", he also drove me bananas. That is, I guess, what I will admire and remember. He was also one of the few people that I just couldn't seem to beat on a pool table. Take care & We are very sorry for your loss.

Love,
Mr. & Mrs. Martin Johnson

Bryon was the most fun loving person i have ever met in my life, there was never a dull moment when he was around. I am saddened to have lost a great uncle, and for my aunt to have lost her soulmate. It saddens me that Bryon will never get to meet his great nephew who is due in a month...Bryon loved kids and had the best Donald Duck voice , which i enjoyed so much as a child. I know he is in a better place, but he will be horribly missed always...I love you Aunt Darlene and i will be here for you always.
