Connie L. Baker Bish, age 64, of Erie, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012, at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness. She was born September 18, 1947 in Roaring Springs, Pa., the daughter of the late Edward (Abe) and Betty Dick Baker. A longtime resident of Erie, Connie was a graduate of Harborcreek High School and loved the times spent with her children and their families. Two years ago she moved to Collins, Mississippi, to be closer to her daughter. Besides her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Jean Baker. She is survived by her children, Jerry Baker and his wife, Amy, of Erie, Connie Crawford and her husband, Mike, of Erie, Ron Guthrie of Erie, Rebecca Guthrie of Collins, Miss., and Jennifer Guthrie and her companion, Derek McClinton, of Collins, Miss. She is the sister of Charles (Bud) Baker and his wife, Joyce, Carol Baker, Ruth Baker, and Brian Baker, all of Erie. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there Monday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
