Dewey Berger, 61, of Erie, died Saturday December 29, 2012 at Millcreek Community Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on August 13, 1951 a son of Betty R. Stokes and the late Dewey Berger. He attended Miller Elementary School and Fifth Avenue High School in Pittsburgh. He worked for AT&T and in construction for many years. He enjoyed playing dominoes with friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Griffin. In addition to his mother, survivors include his fiance, Lori Graham of Erie; one daughter, Renee King of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Shakeyla Renee Willis, James Solomon Bectan, and Heaven Andrea King; five sisters, Hattie Woodall, Patricia Mitchell and her husband Albert, Barbara Mosley and her husband Edward, Debra Acklin, and Gloria Griffin, all of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Nathaniel Berger and his wife Lady of Atlanta and Kenneth Griffin of Pittsburgh; two aunts; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
