Donald L. King, Sr., age 71, of Wesleyville, passed away at home, on Monday, April 28, 2014, following a valiant fight with lung cancer. He was born in Erie on October 16, 1942.
Don was employed for 37 years at General Electric, in Diesel Locomotive, until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Siebenbuerger and East Erie Moose Club
s, and enjoyed his retirement doing small engine repair on lawn mowers and snow-blowers. Don also enjoyed his time at Evergreen Lake Park Campground with his family.
Don is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Duda King; two sons, Donald L. King, Jr. (Beth), and Darrin King (Holli); two daughters, Theresa Johnson (James), and Christina Schuller (Michael); one brother, Michael King; nine grandchildren; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his mother Louise King, and a grandson, Jarrid King.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday, from 2 to 5 and 7 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 8:30 p.m., conducted by Reverend Shane Thompson.
