E. Luella Romesberg Ogle, age 98, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Twinbrook Medical Center. She was born on August 31, 1914 in Somerset County, daughter of the late Ephraim and Mayme Swearman Romesberg. Luella was a resident of Harborcreek since 1947, where she was employed over 25 years in the Harbor Creek High School cafeteria. She was a Cub Scout den mother. She loved to cook for her family and crocheted many useful gifts treasured by their owners. She was an accomplished artist for her own enjoyment and loved traveling to all parts of the world; standing on the Great Wall of China being one of her most memorable experiences. Visiting Alaska was a thrilling adventure for her as was her trip to Switzerland and touring the Alps. She was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harborcreek since 1947 serving as a Sunday School teacher, an elder and a deacon. First and foremost she was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her young husband, Woodrow Wilson Romesberg in 1937; three brothers, four sisters; one grandson; and her beloved husband of 52 years, John Ogle. Luella is survived by two daughters, Peggy Nelson (Jim) of Harborcreek and JoAnn Caruso (Jack) of Florida; one son, John William Ogle (Carol) of Texas; two brothers, Floyd Romesberg (Shirley) of Ohio and Ephraim Jay Romesberg, Jr. of California; one sister, Betty Clarke of Switzerland; a brother-in-law,Bill Crosby (Koneko) of Erie; sisters-in-law, Anna Jean Crosby Krantz of Erie and Esther Romesberg McDonald of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren, Richard Nelson, Sue Mills (Art), Bonnie Duckett (Don), J. Michael Caruso (Susan), Kathleen Miller, Debora Reynolds, Terri Michael, Laurie Shashy, John Ogle, Jeff Ogle (Donna) and Jim Ogle (Michelle); 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many many long time dear friends. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church of Harborcreek at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev.
