Edward C. Amendola, age 88, of Erie, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Center.

He was born in Erie on May 17, 1925 a son of the late Gaetano and Concetta Amendola.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum.

His love of sports was unsurpassed by none. He was an avid Golf & Football fan along with plenty of trips for lottery tickets!

He was preceded in death by and his brother, Al Amendola and a brother in law Joseph Paris.

He is survived by a son, Gaetano Amendola; and a daughter, Carla Amendola both of Erie; a brother, Art Amendola and his wife, Marge; a sister, Lena Paris and a granddaughter, Emily Amendola; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend and companion Shirley Travers, and shared a life full of love and laughter with her family. He was considered an irreplaceable member of the family to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Our "Eddie A" will forever be in our hearts and deeply missed.
