Beloved Father Edward L. Mack, 80, a longtime resident of Erie, died Thursday evening, November 15, 2012, at the Erie VA Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born in Erie on April 7, 1932, son of the late Walter and Violet Dennis Mack. He lived in Erie all of his life. He was owner of A & B Wallpaper, working there for over 50 years. Previously, he worked at Warren Radio and McAllister Marine. He was a graduate of Academy High School and Erie Business School. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea and Germany. Ed was a member of American Legion Post 105, in North East, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include a son, Bradley Mack and his wife Jaimi of Union City and a daughter, Debbie Diehl of Minnesota, three brothers, Walter Mack and his wife Norma Jean of Erie, William Mack and his wife Norma Jean of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Christopher Mack and his wife Cynthia of Erie, a sister, Barbara Lynch and her husband Arthur of Erie, and a brother-in-law, Joseph Mittner. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kaelyn Andra Diehl and James, Jedidiah and Jason Mack, many nieces and nephews, and a very good friend, Ray Heisler and his wife. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Mack and five sisters, Rosemary Culver, Catherine Peters, Nancy Mittner, Linda Dann and Gretchen Mack. Friends may call today, Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at the C.S. Warthman Funeral Home, 69 N Main Street, Union City, Pa.
