Felicia Ann Chiarelli, age 56, of Erie passed away at Saint Vincent Health Center on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born on August 3, 1956 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Joseph and Ellen Chiarelli. Felicia was a graduate of Strong Vincent High school and worked most of her life in the food service industry. She previously lived in Pittsburgh before returning home to Erie to become the full time caretaker of her mother, which she did for the last nine years. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt who enjoyed cooking for her family, watching sports and live horse racing, and dancing. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Odette Kilmer; paternal grandparents, Felice and Malfisa Chiarelli McDaniel; and one niece, Taylor Bernatowicz. Felicia is survived by six brothers, Philip Chiarelli and his wife, Wendy of Pawleys Island, S.C., William Chiarelli and his wife, Joanne, John Chiarelli, Rodney Chiarelli and his wife, Lisa, Patrick Chiarelli and Joseph Chiarelli, Jr., all of Erie; three sisters, Trina Chiarelli Brigham and her fiancé, Matt Moon, Deanna Caldwell and her husband, Dale and Christina Bernatowicz and her husband, Brian, all of Erie; 15 nieces and nephews, Ellie, Angela, Samuel, Lisa, Jennifer, Timothy, Maria, Nick, D.J., Justin, J.J., Ashley, Roman, Tony and Gianna; nine great-nieces and nephews, Tyler, Mason, Emma, Sergio, Marco, Elena, Devin, Rayna and Henry. There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, 1116 W. 7th Street. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a or Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where she developed many friendships during her recovery stay there the last six months. We would also like to thank the nurses at Saint Vincent ICU for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
