Frances J. Napierkowski Kendzior, 93, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Saint Mary's Home-East. She was born January 30, 1920 in Erie, Pa., daughter of the late Ignatius and Josephine Donikowski Napierkowski. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She retired from GE in 1976 and was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. She also was a member of St. Mary's Home Auxiliary, Mercy Center on Aging, East Side Federation, St. John's Catholic Woman and St. John's Hilarities, Lake Front Senior Citizens, llife member of Polish Falcons Nest 123 and its Legion of Honor, Holy Trinity Rosary Society, Blue Army, life member of Sharpshooters Ladies Auxiliary, and St. Marks Auxiliary. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Kendzior in 2002, two sisters, Louise Cygan, Ann Wingenroth and two brothers, Frank and Stanley Napierkowski. Survivors include one son, Stanley P. Kendzior, Jr. (Cheryl) of Erie, three grandchildren, Kenneth Kendzior of Erie, Lisa Woodlief (Brian) of Zebulon, N.C., and Douglas Kendzior (Kim) of North East, Pa. Also survived by three step-grandchildren, Jeff Hamilton (Julie) of Buffalo, N.Y., Partrick Miller of Erie, Kathryn Miller of Kentucky, two great-grandchildren, Jordan Kendzior and Brooklyn Quint and one nephew, Larry Stankiewicz (Patty) of Philipsville, Pa. Relative and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503 on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Chriistian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church.
