Francesco A. "Frank" Fioretti Obituary
Francesco "Frank" A. Fioretti, age 86, of Millcreek, passed away at home, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Born in San Lucido, Cosenza, Italy, on March 4, 1932, he was a son of the late Santo and Assunta (Di Buono) Fioretti.

Frank came from Italy when he was 19. He was employed at the Hammermill Paper Co. a few days after arriving in America and worked there alongside his brother as a machinist. He retired after 44 years at The Mill. He was a longtime member of St. George Church.

Frank was an avid hunter, and fisherman, and he enjoyed the outdoors with countless friends and family. Frank was a canary breeder and had a large garden that flourished under his care. He played bocce and bowled in many leagues over the years. He was a great teacher of the things he loved. Frank was a "one of a kind original." He was passionate about life, his roots, his family, and his hobbies. He lived deliberately, with no regrets.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Oreste "Mario" Fioretti; his beloved nephew, Santo Fioretti; and two sisters, Anita Amendola and Lisa Porto.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Aldesia A. (Franzese) Fioretti; three daughters, Pia Elsesser, husband Tom of Niceville, Fla., Luisa Stark, husband Pat of Sylvania, Ohio, and Linda Kemper, husband Patrick of Erie; seven grandchildren, Aaron Stark, wife Carilyn, Drew Stark, wife Caroline, Daniel, Caitlin and Elisa Elsesser and Paul and Anna Kemper; and two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Millie Stark. He is also survived by his niece, Lisa Stadler, husband David, many nieces and nephews; his neighbors who became his family; and Kathy Cassano, his caregiver during his two-year illness.

Friends and family may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1595 West 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd. Services will be held there on Monday at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. George Church, 5145 Peach Street at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Family House Shadyside, Pittsburgh, Pa., or Backcountry Hunters and Anglers.
