Francine Ann Bargielski 59, of Parade St., died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Walnut Creek. Francine was born in Erie on July 21, 1953 daughter of the late Edward Bargielski and the late Patricia Schubert Bargielski. Francine was Past President of East Side Federation of Polish-American Societies. She was also Past President of East Side Federation of Clubs, Committee Woman for the Erie County Democratic Party and the Democratic Women's Society. For many years she was Campaign Manager for Gayle Wright and had served on numerous Democratic Campaigns. Her greatest accomplishment was in 1998, when she was appointed Ambassador to Erie's Sister City of Lublin Poland. She was employed by the Gertrude A. Barber Center for 30 years. Francine is survived by her brother Anthony (Julie) Bargielski and sister Melanie Raygor (John Fischer). She is further survived by her nephew Brian Raygor, niece Emily Magee (Patrick) and niece Rebecca Bargielski, and the love of her life, great nephew Logan Magee. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2101 Ash St. Monday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
