Frederick H. Zurn, age 58, of Erie, died suddenly of a massive heart attack, Friday, January 18, in Ft. Myers, Fla., surrounded by his wife and children. Born in Erie on September 4, 1954, he was the son of the late Christian F. Zurn, Jr. and Marian Louise (McCracken) Zurn. A graduate of Ashland University, he was the owner of Erie Copy Products. He loved spending time in Florida and golfing, and especially spending time with his wife and children. He was a Cleveland Browns fan. He supported Erie International Institute, LECOM, and the Sarah Reed Center, and was an active member of Saint Joseph Bread of Life Community. Frederick was well-known for his generosity and strong work ethic. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Marian (Ondracek) Zurn, of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Sarah Zurn, of Pittsburgh, Pa; two sons, Christopher Zurn, of Cleveland, and Michael Zurn, of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Kathy Zurn of Holly Springs, N.C., and Nancy Zurn, of Erie; a brother, David Zurn, wife Joyce, of Gibsonia, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a prayer service there Thursday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joseph Bread of Life Community at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
