Gary Headley, age 78, of Fairview, Pa., passed away peacefully December 22nd, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic. Born in Erie, Pa., Gary was a graduate of Academy High, in 1952, and was president and owner of Industrial Promotions, during his professional career. As a 21 year veteran of the US Navy, he obtained the rank of Chief Petty Officer, while serving in the Mediterranean and the Naval Reserve. Gary was also on the Ski Patrol and a ski instructor at Peak N' Peek for many years. Later in life, he became an avid golfer, shooting his age, 76, with a hole-in-one, in the same round. He is survived by a brother, William of Erie; four sons; Garrett and his wife Becky of Lexington, Ky., Doug and his wife Mary Jo of Williamsburg, Va., Eric and his wife Beth of Lexington, Ky., Darryll and his wife Davida of Lorain, Ohio and their mother Marvis of Tryon, N.C.; eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. The Erie Yacht Club, of which Gary was a longtime member, will host a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 12th from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. Please come and celebrate Gary's life with us.
