Glenn Hollingsworth, age 54, 856 E. 24th St., passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Shubuta, Miss., on April 25, 1958, son of the late Fred Johnson and Mildred Hollingsworth Myles. He was a resident of Erie for 43 years and had been employed at Bush Industries and Erie Waste Management. He was a former visitor of God's House of Prayer. Glenn was a very special person who had a lot of friends and really enjoyed having lots of fun with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Hollingsworth; his grandparents, Homer and Vanie Hollingsworth; his mother-in-law, Charlie Troop Allen; and his nephew, Jeremy Lindsey. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Glenn Andre Hollingsworth of Erie; three daughters, Anissa Johnson and Angel Hollingsworth of Erie and Charla Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Steve Earl Hollingsworth and one sister, Ceola Russell, both of Erie; four aunts, Mary Brown and husband Albert Jr. and Ruth Arrington, all of Erie; Arey Lee Hailes of Mobile, Ala. and Pinkey Earl Hayes and husband Charlie of Shubuta, Miss.; two uncles, Homer Hollingsworth, Jr. of Erie and James White and wife of St. Louis, Mo.; fifteen grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 155 E. 21st St., followed by a service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Michael Cole, Pastor of House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, officiating and Rev. George Davis, Pastor of God's House of Prayer, eulogizing. Interment will be in Erie Cemetery.
