Grace Rose Coletta Freeman was born on March 28, 1929 to Vincent and Catherine Polestina Coletta at their home in Erie, Pa.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Earl Freeman; three brothers, Phillip (Violet) Coletta, Vincent (Marlene) Coletta, and Sam (Diane) Coletta; one son, David Freeman of North East; and four daughters, Doris (Sam) Conley of Erie, Ruth (Tommy) O'Donnell of Philadelphia, Bonnie (Paul) Moorhead of Erie, and Faye (Michael) Smith of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Coletta McIntire, and a niece, Katherine Coletta Fetzner.
Grace enjoyed a lifetime of cooking and preparing meals professionally, and for shut-ins, weddings and funeral dinners. She had a passion for beauty found in all types of flowers, and recently enjoyed the sparkle of hundreds of necklaces that she made. She was a devoted, sacrificing and loving wife and mother and a truly giving friend.
Earl and Grace lived in North East for 40 years, and were very active members of Praise Cathedral, led by their shepherd and friend, Pastor Grove. They previously lived in West Springfield where they attended the Federated Church with Rev. P.H. Augustine. Her whole family has accepted Jesus as their personal Savior and will one day be seated together at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Visitation will be held at the W.
