Helen Ann Dolak Obituary
She was a cherished Busha (Grandmother) and former operator of the Fulton Dairy Bar (HELEN'S Store).

Helen Ann Dolak, of Erie, Pa., peacefully passed on to her new life in Christ on Sunday, January 6th, 2019. She was born in Erie, on May 25th, 1922, daughter of the late Jan and Kazmiera Klimaszewski Niebrzydowski.

She was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1941. She and her beloved husband Michael (deceased 1981) were married in St. Casimir R. C. Church, in Erie, on February 19th, 1949. Helen and Mike owned and operated the Fulton Dairy Bar (across the street from Holy Family Church) until April 1972.

Helen, a member of St. Casimir R. C. Church, often provided banana split sundaes and other ice cream novelties to the faculty (nuns and priests) of St. Casimir and Holy Family Schools. She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting (scroungies and afghans), working crosswords puzzles, bowling (GCS Club) and caring for and following her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons: Michael Dolak (Debbie), James Dolak (Patricia) and Robert Dolak (Mary) and nine grandchildren: Christopher, James M. Esq. (Lauren), Katie Ann (Daryl), Julia Ann, Michael P., Stephanie, Annmarie (Robert), Kristina and Rebecca. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Quinten, Aidan, Eli, Caroline, William J. and Samuel J., along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Carol Dolak, a granddaughter Elizabeth, both of Carey, Ill., and a brother Walter Niebrzydowski.

The family would like to thank the Pleasant Ridge Manor nursing staff, cafeteria group, admissions and finance group for four years of wonderful personal care.
