James L. Million, age 69, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at his residence in North East, Pa. He was born on June 21, 1943 in Franklin, Ind., a son of the late Ashford Garnet and Freida Marie Baker Million. Prior to his retirement Jim was employed as a Facilities Engineer at Hamot Medical Center and was also a self employed electrician for many years. Jim was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #105, both in North East. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and being outdoors. Jim was an avid NASCAR and Cleveland Browns fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister in law Tom and Ceil Gunther Million. Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosemarie (Sookie) Million, whom he married August 30, 1969, two sons, Jamie Million and his wife Tracy of Harborcreek and David Million and his wife Laura of Cary, N.C., one daughter, Kelly Million and her companion James Kloss of North East, two brothers, Terry Million and his wife Ruby of Franklin, Ind. and Eric Luke and his companion Michele of North East, three sisters, Charlotte Reitz and her husband Jim of Erie, Roberta Kammerer and her husband Skip, of Indianapolis, Ind. and Carla Spencer and her husband Dale of Ariz. and six grandchildren, Tori Hasbrouck and her companion Derek Davis, Corey Weigle, Jenna Million, Jaelyn Million, Nora Million and Lila Million. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. J. Kenneth Laber officiating.
