Jean E. Tucker Obituary
Jean E. Tucker, age 94, formerly of Albion, Pa., and a resident of Manchester Commons in Erie, died on September 6, 2018. She was born May 13, 1924, the daughter of Charles B. and Georgiana Camp Warner. She graduated from Albion High School in 1942 and married William B. Tucker on October 22, 1943.

Jean, along with her husband, owned and operated Tucker's Hardware in Albion, retiring in 1985. A skilled porcelain artist, she taught china painting into her mid-80's. She also enjoyed sewing and antique furniture restoration. Jean was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Albion, a founding member of '51 Club' in Albion, and a former member of Erie Porcelain Artists.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Neal Warner, Dane Warner, Norma Hamilton, Virginia Parbus and Dawn Warner. Jean is survived by a son, Tom Tucker (Marion) of Fairview, Pa., a daughter, Bev Gruber (Milan) of Monaca, Pa., grandsons, Matt Gruber (Rachel), Jason Gruber (Kristy), step-grandsons, Eric Lowry (Kristyn), Matt Lowry (Nicole) and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Ruth Warner, Gladys Nye, Dorothy Wilkins and Shirley Kaufer, and their families; and many nieces and nephews.

Jean's family would like to thank the staff at Manchester Commons for the wonderful care they provided for her.

Friends and family may call at Grace United Methodist Church, 49 Franklin St., Albion, Pa., on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a service there at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Duk Hee Han officiating. Burial will follow in Albion Cemetery.
