Jeannette M. Pirro, 95, of Corry, Pa., died on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Colonial Terrace where she had been a resident. She was born on April 16, 1917 in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Carlo L. and Michalina Chiricuzio Pirro. Jeannette was raised and educated in Corry. After high school, Jeannette started working at Raymond Manufacturing Company (Associated Springs-Barnes Group). She was there for over 46 years as a shipping clerk, retiring on January 1, 1981. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church in Corry, the Corry Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the St. Elizabeth Ladies' Guild. Jeannette volunteered at the Corry Public Library for many years. In addition to her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her step-mother, Carmella Martino Pirro; four sisters, Angelina Hajek, Carmella Kovach, Mary Pirro and Jane Jaworski; and a brother, Joe Pirro. Jeannette is survived by two half-brothers, Carl L. Pirro and his wife Joanie of Saegertown, Pa., and John D. Pirro and his wife Patricia of Solon, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a Scripture Service there at 2 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, 26 W. Pleasant St., Corry, Pa., at 11 a.m. Rev. Mark Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Corry, Pa. Memorials may be made to the St. Thomas School, 229 W. Washington St., Corry, PA 16407 or the Corry Public Library, 117 W. Washington St., Corry, PA 16407.
