John Albert Kaizer III, age 51, of Erie passed away at his residence while undergoing treatment for a prolonged illness. He was born January 9, 1961 in Erie, son of the late John Albert Kaizer II and Elizabeth ZipperiKaizer. John was passionate about hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He spent many of his Sundays backing the Steelers and knocking the rivals. He enjoyed the wit in hearing and telling a good joke. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked as a painter and carpenter having owned his own business, Country Painter. John is survived by his daughter, Karyn Mayhue of Erie; his sister, Diane Kaizer of Erie; his niece, Erika Kaizer of Erie; and his grandkids, Bethany and Bradenn Mayhue; his aunt, Helen Merritt of Union City; his uncle Tom Zipperi of Erie; and several cousins. John will be missed by his loving dogs, Dee Dee and Sissy. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony "Tony" and Richard "Ricky" Kaizer; and his lifelong companion, Karin Luna.
