Joseph A. "Joe" Majersky, age 83, of Erie, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Erie on October 18, 1929, son of the late John and Albina Mihalic Majersky. Joe was employed as a Manager with General Electric Co. for 35 years. He also sold Lifetime Cookware for West Bend for several years. In 1985, he founded Joe's Seniors, a popular travel business. Joe was a longtime member of Holy Family R.C. Church where he was an active member, singing in the choir and serving as a lector and usher. He also sang with the Moniuszko and Siebenbuerger Singing Societies. Joe enjoyed gardening and traveling. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Majersky in 2010; one sister, Irene Piatkowski; and three brothers, Frank, John and Nick Majersky. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Kay Kelley Majersky; three daughters, Barbara Schau (David) of Charleston, W.Va., Carol Perry (John) of Erie and Susan Fitzgerald (Ken) of Seattle, Wash.; three sons, Larry Majersky (Sue), Gerry Majersky (Pam) and Michael Majersky (Mary) all of Erie; one daughter-in-law, Christine Majersky of Butler, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Monday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Family R.C.
