Joseph Edward Konetsky, age 53, passed away Wednesday morning November 14, 2012, at the UPMC Hamot Medical Center. He resided in Harborcreek Township. He was born in Oil City, Pa. October 19, 1958, son of Edward J. Konetsky and the late Rita Mendenhall Konstsky. He is survived by his wife Linda K. Waid Konetsky of Harborcreek; his children, Heather Konetsky of Greenville, N.C., Stephanie Konetsky of Wesleyville, Haley Konetsky of Harborcreek and his brother Mike D. Konetsky and his wife Char of Harborcreek. He is also survived by four step-children, April, Joshua and Adam Martin, and Antonia Harvey; a niece Michelle DeMay, her husband, Derrick and their son, Brandon. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Joshua, and his very close grandmother, Alta "Nanny" Mendenhall. Joe worked at the Hammermill Paper Co. for 25 years and then after its closing, drove for the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority and for La Grand Elite Limousine Service. He was a former member of the Fairfield Fire Department. He enjoyed Dirt Track Racing, riding his Harley and was a NASCAR fan. Joe also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Friends may call at the G. R. Bailey Funeral Home, 4396 Iroquois Ave., Lawrence Park Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday morning at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
