Joseph Kelly Wells Obituary
Joseph Kelly Wells, age 78, of Millcreek, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at UPMC Hamot. Born in Warren, Pa., on November 23, 1939, he was a son of the late Thomas George and Eleanor C. (Albertson) Wells.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years and best friend, Dianne C. (Kubeja) Wells; five children; Kelly Ann (Bob) Juchno, Erie, Kathleen A. Wells, Erie; Joseph G. (Melony) Wells, Columbus, Ohio, Mark A. Wells, Erie, and Mary Beth A. (Mike) McDonald, Erie; eleven grandchildren, Alyson and Christopher Juchno, Taryn & Andrea Wells, Amanda, Gerard, Nicholas and Jacob Wells and Ryan Rzepecki, Anna and Michael McDonald; two brothers, Tom (Nancy) Wells and Casey (Jill) Wells, all of Erie, and two sisters, Mary Gloystein, Erie, and Georgann (Joe) Holmwood, Gilbert, Ariz. Many nieces and nephews also survive Joe.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Wells, and parents-in-law, Leonard and Cecilia Kubeja.

Joe served in the U.S. Army 34th Armored Division in Ft. Lewis Washington from 1958 to 1960. He worked at American Meter in Erie as a supervisor for 37 years and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavs. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Cursillo Group #60, St. Jude Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #773.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a prayer service there Thursday at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Jude Church at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
